Nap Time

This is me waking up from my nap today the funny thing here is that I started out with my head on the opposite end. I have been doing this lately, my Papa says that you never know what position you're going to find me in sometimes I am side to side, other times I am in a ball at the top, one time I was all the way at the bottom but most days I look like this - pretty funny huh?!

Just added Thursday nap time - see what I am talking about ... just hilarious!

Christmas is Almost Here

My Christmas countdown tree is almost full, only one ornament and then the star left... let the festivities begin!!! Look Uncle Ryan and I have similar hats - I thought mine was cool but now I know for sure! And Eddie is super excited for Christmas too (can't you tell?) well he is, take my word for it. 

Grandma's Birthday!

This has been a terrific couple of days - last night I got to go to Grandpa Dale & Grandma's house all by myself (without my parents or Eddie) it was great! We had such a fun time... I would tell you all the things we did but as my shirt says, "What Happens at Grandma's Stays at Grandma's so I'm not talk'n." (My other shirt says, "Who needs Santa when there's Grandma?"funny huh?!) 

Then today we had Grandma's birthday celebration at our house - it was my first birthday party and I thought it was a blast. There were decorations, singing, presents, good food (I had sweet potatoes!) and great company. Even my super nice neighbors Carol & David stopped over! J 

I can't wait for someone else to have a birthday party!! 

How Sweet It Is...

To Have Sweet Potatoes - I loved them! I ate the whole two tablespoons and was extremely happy I didn't have to eat the rice cereal today.

My Big Boy Chair

So for months now I have seen my parents sit at the big table in the big chairs and now I get to sit there too! Take a look - I am in my brand new big boy high chair (Thanks again Grandma 2) I love it!!

However what I didn't love is the rice cereal that came after I sat in my chair - seriously it's disgusting! I want to throw up every time Mama gives me a bite. I told them to bring on the veggies but they are thinking that maybe we'll wait a week and try again then... as long as I don't have to eat that yucky cereal I am a happy camper!

Mmm Mmm Good??

Well, here I am eating rice cereal for the first time at five months old. I think my parents made it wrong or something because so far it's not worth the hype. Every one said I would love "real" food. They are going to try a couple spoonfuls for the next four days to see if I like it better --- oh goody.

Happy Five-Month Day!

At five months old I am really into looking at everything and moving around, I love animals (Especially Eddie!) but I also like my fishes, Grandpa's dog Kodi, Vickie's dog Sierra, and any animals that I can see in the pet store. My parents think I am going to LOVE the zoo. I am still enjoying my feet and desperately want to be able to put them in my mouth. However, my hands are still my favorite things and now I can put them together to grab things. I like to stand (with help), hold hands when I get sleepy, and I am teething so I drool a lot and want to put everything in my mouth (including Grandpa's arm which is the tastiest arm if I do say so).  My smiles are starting to be reserved for family and friends instead of every person I see (and when I am around family I smile a ton!) I belly laugh a lot now and roll over really quickly too, which keeps my parents on their toes. 

I am growing up so quickly...

First Christmas Celebration

So when you have a large family one of many perks is that you get to have several celebrations - this past weekend we had our first Christmas party. We celebrated at Grandpa & NCB's house with Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Bob. I had a fantastic time (despite still having a cold) and we stayed overnight which was terrific because when I woke up I got to see everyone all over again! J

Pushing Through My First Cold

It happened, I got my first cold my nose is all stuffy and my eyes are watery but instead of cuddling and sleeping more like my parents thought I would - I am trying to push through it by playing hard. Here is a really neat stationary jumper they got for me. I just sit in it right now but soon I will probably be a jump'n fool!

Winter @ The Arboretum

We had the best time at the Arboretum on Saturday there were lots of pretty decorations, huge trees (one tree, pictured above, was even decorated as the Polar Express our favorite book right now!), about a million lights, holiday smells of pine and cinnamon, a choir singing Christmas carols, and even Santa Claus was there - it was amazing I had a really good time! 

I also got to see the pottery studio in Minneapolis, have a visit with Vic-Vic & Sean, go to St. Nicholas Church, and stay in a hotel for the weekend with my parents and my Grandma. I was a big hit every where we went and it was fun meeting new people - I gave em lots of smiles!
