It Don't Mean a Thing if it Ain't Got That Swing!

I love my swing!! What this video doesn't show is that I was being a little fussy before my Mama put me in the swing and then the combination of the movement and the good music put me right at ease. We tried the rocking chair, music, dancing, feeding, changing...but as the Duke said, "It Don't Mean a Thing if it Ain't Got That Swing!"

I think this may be a new part of my daily routine. :)

Jake's Big Adventure

I had a HUGE day yesterday - Mama, Papa and I got up and drove to my Grandpa & Nana Care Bear's house where I met a professional photographer, a dog named Kodi, and my Aunt Briana! It was so much fun I didn't want to sleep at all I wanted to stay awake and visit with everyone. The photographer took pictures of me outside and I got to take off all my clothes and was only in my diaper. Then after she left I snuggled up to my Grandpa and fell a sleep. Mama told me today that then we all went to a Mexican restaurant named Acapulco in Stillwater, which was my first dining out experience. Plus I was two weeks old yesterday!

Here are a few pictures from the day...

And here are the professional pics from the day:

I Have Magic Milk Hands!

Yep, it’s true I have magic milk hands. They are fantastic; I can put my hands in my mouth and get a little treat. My parents keep trying to tell me that it’s only because I put my mittens in my mouth after I am finished eating and a little milk gets on the mittens but that’s crazy talk. I know I have magic milk hands… “Jake and His Magic Milk Hands” – I am going to make a fortune when I get older!!

Oh, The People I've Seen!

I am so lucky - I have all kinds of people that have come to see me and I am only one week old. Everyone keeps saying how cute I am and how much they love me already. I enjoy being held and cuddled by all my family... so I say keep the visitors coming!

Hello World It's Me, Jacob James Plummer!

I was born on Wednesday, July 13th at 8:10 am. I weigh 7lb 13oz and am 19 inches long. Here I am in my Mama's arms right after I was born - Eddie’s right, I do love it out here!!!

Mama: My water broke Tuesday morning around 7am while I was laying in bed with Eddie contemplating getting up for the day. I was surprised and really excited that today was going to be the day that I met my child for the first time! After getting cleaned up I calmly called down to Mark telling him, "Honey, it's time - my water just broke." Your Papa was also calm - he advised me to call the hospital and after we both took showers and grabbed our go bag we were at the hospital one hour later in Albert Lea. I then went 24 hours in labor before Dr. Lombardi (pictured above in brown scrubs) said that your head was too large so they needed to do an emergency c-section. We remained calm because he told us that you were doing good but that you needed to just come out now and 30 minutes later you were born. Everybody said that you were perfect and super cute!! You were born on a Wednesday and we fell in love with you the moment that we saw you Jacob James! My first reaction was that I couldn't believe that you were ours - it was such a miracle!! Just Amazing! And you are adorable - literally the cutest baby I have ever seen and you had lots of hair too! We are so happy that we are a real family now... a Papa, a Mama, a Baby, and Eddie our puppy!
