Go Vikes!

Grandpa & NCB took Papa & Mama to the Vikings game on Sunday. Then my parents went to a restaurant called the Melting Pot and had a romantic fondue dinner in Minneapolis. I think that the dessert looks yummy - that would be nice to have with my milk!

I had fun with Grandma & Grandma 2 while they were away. After church I went to Rochester with the girls and did some shopping and then we had a lovely lunch out too. Romantic? - Well I'm not sure because I don't know what that means yet but I did have lots of fun! Then Papa brought me home a little #1 foam finger and I liked it so I kept giving him lots of smiles to show my appreciation.

My NCB's friend Sharon gave me this Vikings shirt - pretty cute don't you think... is it the man that makes the shirt or the shirt that makes the man?

I Rolled Over!!

I rolled over (front to back) tonight for the first time!! Mama read two books to me and then I was playing on my mat and doing tummy time when all of a sudden I decided to roll over. She got really excited and called for Papa and then they tried to get me to do it again but I just kept smiling at them. Maybe tomorrow I'll do it again, we'll see.

PS. Gotcha Papa - ha ha. This pic is proof that he is teaching me to stick out my tongue. :)

Countdown to My First Halloween

This outfit says "My First Halloween" and has pumpkin feet (another nice gift) thanks Grace!

Also, here is Eddie he has a Halloween bandana on.

Then Mama was trying to get the two of us together but as you can see we were not cooperating we would sit still close together until she grabbed the camera and then we would pull apart. We're funny!

MOA Saturday & Family Sunday

We went to the MOA (Mall of America) on Saturday it was great I really enjoyed it due to the noise, things to see, and of course cruisin in my stroller. The weather is getting colder here (55 degrees this weekend), so we are going to start taking advantage of indoor exercise and outings. Here are a couple of pictures from Lego Land (a place Mama says I am going to LOVE when I get a little older) those statues and picture was made completely of lego's it was amazing!

Then today we went to my cousin Nick's confirmation; it was really nice seeing family and sharing some memories. Here is Nick holding me and a few family members gathered at a table.

Lil Devils... like Father like Son

So our friend Grace gave me this cute outfit with little devils on it and it made Mama think of when Papa was a devil for work a few years ago. Can you believe that's my Papa, he looks so scary even Eddie looks frightened and he isn't scared of anything!

I will have another Halloween outfit to share next week - it's all part of my "Weekly Countdown to Halloween". And then wait until you guys see the grand finale...

Happy Three-Month Day!!

Guess what guys; I’m officially a baby now and no longer a newborn! And I don’t have to go to the doctor this month the next time is at four months so Yay!

At 3 Months –

It's all about social interaction these days! I love to smile at people – family, friends and even strangers especially when they look me straight in the eye and talk to me. I’m beginning to sort out who's who in my life. I am making more eye contact with folks and I even sometimes search for my parents in a room and move my arms in excitement or smile when I find them. These days, I am also staying awake for longer stretches during the day (I’ve got stuff to do now!) and sleeping for longer stretches at night. I’m starting to engage with people in hilarious new ways (i.e., noises, cooing, giggles, and finger play). I am starting to mimic people too - Papa has been teaching me to stick my tongue out which always makes us both laugh. And I love to hold hands too. I am holding my head up better and for longer periods of time and my movements are getting less jerky and more controlled however I still have more work to do in both of these departments.

My Grandpa came over to see me today (and he brought over Great Grandma & Great Grandpa Bob too)! I had a lot to tell Grandpa because it's been a couple of weeks since I've seen him. Everybody seemed to be surprised by all that I had to say but I've been busy and wanted to tell my Grandpa all about it. J

PS. I want to send a very special shout out to my cousin Kayla it's her birthday today!! She is at college in Seattle having a great time. Love Ya Kayla Babe!

Hotel Stay, Take Two

This time things went much better - I had a "Grrreat" time (like my pal Tony the Tiger would say)! We got a hotel room and made the Arboretum a two day affair.

The Arboretum

Everybody has been asking what is the Arboretum? It’s a gorgeous place... like a plant zoo!

Some of my favorites included the Japanese garden, ornamental grass collection, rose garden (that was still in bloom!), sensory garden, annual and perennial gardens, weeping willow trees, beautiful maples in their peak fall colors, pumpkin palooza, scarecrows on parade, homeland garden, and woodland walks. Take a picnic basket and plan for a full day of walking and enjoying the scenery. It’s fantastic the fresh air, vibrant colors, and peaceful atmosphere make this a must see as often as possible (or at least a couple of times a season)!! We loved it so much we became members.

The University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum features more than 1,000 acres of magnificent gardens, model landscapes, and natural areas-from woodlands and wetlands to prairie-with extensive collections of northern-hardy plants. Tour the Arboretum on 12.5 miles of garden paths and hiking trails. Walk the close gardens and bike, walk or drive Three-Mile Drive to see more gardens and collections (Arboretum, 2011).
