Memorial Day
We went to a parade today to celebrate Memorial Day - I liked it because there were flags, fire trucks and big drums I think that every day should start off with a parade! My parents told me that Memorial Day is a special day to honor all solders and all loved ones that have passed away (military or otherwise). Yesterday we went up to see my Papa 2's grave at Fort Snelling in Minneapolis I had a lot to tell him.

Bath Update
I'm back loving bath time - we are still using my infant tub but in the big bathtub and it's working well. The big boy duck bathtub is now in my room hanging out until I'm ready to give it a try again. But no more tears because I love my bath toys and just hanging out in the tub now, which is something that I never could do when I was in the kitchen sink. Today I even took two baths... well that second one was only because I decided to wear my chicken and vegetables but hey whatever at least I'm squeaky clean!

Uncle Ryan Came to Visit
Uncle Ryan came over for dinner tonight and I was extremely glad to see him because I haven't seen him for a couple of months. I got to play with him and show him all the new things that I can do now. I was really excited to show off how I can walk. He was very impressed and said that I am super cute... on a completely separate subject Ryan has really good taste!
ALS Bike Trek
We had the ALS Bike Trek this weekend it was a great day... maybe next year I can participate too! I really liked Mama's bike helmet!

C is for Cookie
As my friend Cookie Monster sings, "C is for Cookie and that's good enough for me!" I have had two different kinds of cookies now and both were terrific oatmeal chocolate chip was my first cookie and now arrowroot cookies. Both are yummy and I highly recommend them to all!!

Mama's Day/Weekend
We had a very nice Mother's Day weekend - Mama, Papa, Grandma and I stayed in a hotel in Minneapolis. I got to go swimming for the first time in the pool, play around in the hotel room, and even went down for breakfast in my pajamas. On Saturday we went to the Landscape Arboretum - my Mama gave me a pine cone it's very interesting a highlight for sure! Then on Sunday we had a tasty brunch at Jax Cafe and went to Minnehaha Falls (which is an awesome park where we saw a huge waterfall and rode a bicycle built for four plus people!) it was a really fun weekend with lots of special memories!

Happy Ten-Month Day!!
Happy Mother's Day!! At ten months I am eating more food, about ten ounces a day and drinking less milk, about 22 ounces per day. I have a morning bottle when I wake up (usually between 7-8am), play for a while, then later have breakfast (usually some fruit, Cheerios and water from a sippy cup), afterwards take a morning nap, around noon we have lunch (usually vegetables, some Puffs and water), then I play some more, have a smaller afternoon bottle and take a nap, then up again for more play time, reading and exploring, dinner around five (usually meat, pasta, or rice dishes and water), more play time, a walk outside with Eddie if the weather cooperates, then a nighttime bottle and off to bed somewhere between 7-8pm. I used to go to the YMCA to play for an hour or so during the week but lately I haven't wanted to do that because I don't want to hang out there without my parents by my side. Yes, separation anxiety continues to be a major issue. I have a special bond with my family and am strongly attached to them. Mama keeps reminding herself that it's nice to be loved and needed. :-) I am working on mastering crawling - I am a fast army crawler now but am working on getting up on my hands and knees lately. I can get into and out of a sitting position. I am standing by myself for short periods of time (and pulling myself up to stand), I love standing and get really proud of myself when I do it. I also love to walk while holding fingers or in my super cool walker. I am pointing at things I want or find interesting, still clapping a lot, and waving goodbye regularly now. I am testing limits and observing my parents reactions more these days. I am starting to give up a toy or piece of food when asked, and I am recognizing and responding to familiar words, sounds, or situations. For example, when we start my nap/bedtime routine I stage a mini protest because I know what will come next. I can now say, "Mama, Dada, Ed (for Eddie), Bye-Bye, and Hi" in context, I say a lot of other things that nobody seems to understand too okay so maybe I'm a bit of a talker.

Rubber Ducky You're The One
You make bath time so much fun! This is my brand new big boy bath tub... I may need some time to get used to it so above we are doing a "dry run" (get it, no water dry tee-hee). Anyway, I freaked out the first time we used it. We think it may be the adult tub or bathroom and not necessarily the duck tub because I will play with it in the living room but when I am in the big tub I get really scared and cry a lot. So we are now going back to my old tub and putting that in the big tub and I am crying less. Hopefully I will get used to the bathroom to bathe soon because the duck tub is really cute! Don't you agree??
Update: I said, "Mama" today and actually meant it - Grandma was holding me and I said Mama and then pointed at my mom. She started to cry it was a nice moment (and for Mother's Day weekend too nice timing huh).

Stage Three Food
I am eating some stage three food now, stage three is thicker, combines more ingredients, and has different textures. This is the last stage before I am eating what all of you eat so it's very exciting! You know what else is exciting - I finished a whole jar today. It was bananas, apples and cereal which is super yummy! Mama can't believe that I ate the whole six ounces in one sitting - well believe it, because it was Grrreat!
We tried to change over to all stage three foods but the lasagna made me gag, the chicken with rice was gross, and the garden vegetables were too big - basically if its not fruit I can't handle the more complex textures of the stage three food just yet. So we are moving the fruit into stage three but continuing with stage two for the rest of it. Can you believe that just four months ago I wasn't even eating food at all just milk!?

Does This Tub Make My Butt Look Big?
First of all, I apologize for the second photo my mom thought it was cute. (And by cute I guess she means Embarrassing!) Anyhow, my infant/toddler tub is getting a little snug since I am tall I sit up way too high, when I lean forward I practically come out of the thing and when I try to stand up my parents freak out because I am actually up really high (the tub sits in our kitchen sink). So we are in the market for a transitional tub to go in the regular bathtub (they don't think I am quite ready to go in the big tub by myself yet). Man - I can't believe she posted that second picture you just know it's gonna go viral!!

Overnight at Grandpa's
We went up to Hugo, MN to see Grandpa and NCB on Friday night (Aunt Briana was celebrating a friend's birthday so unfortunately I didn't get to see her) but it was loads of fun. Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Bob drove up with us too. I got to play, explore, walk around with people and we even brought up my walker for extra adventures. There is Kodi - she is such a nice puppy dog.
For the road trip Papa put in my new big boy car seat. I really like it - it's bigger, I sit up higher and it has more cushion! I was being silly making funny faces at Great Grandma and my Mama... I love it when I can make people laugh!
