Ice Ice Baby

We took Grammie up to the Mall of America for a belated birthday getaway where they had built the largest ice castle in the world. The castle stood more than 40 feet tall at its peak, spanned about two acres, and was made with four million gallons of water. This castle joined 50 large ice towers together to create a series of shimmering archways, tunnels, walls and caverns. We were there on a foggy night when the castle took on a magical look as thousands of LED multi-colored lights illuminated the ice from within. It was really neat but burr cold! And I couldn't help but wonder, "What's with all the ice and who would want to live in a house made of ice?!"

  1. Wow Jakey, that was really cool and being able to enjoy it with you and your Mom and Dad was great. The colors against the fog made it look so magical. Love, Grammie
