So I’m two years old and love saying that I am a big and strong boy and that I want to do it all by myself. In fact, I like saying a lot of things. My vocabulary is huge (hundreds of words) and I put together six or more word sentences regularly. Strangers can understand what I am saying; I follow multi-step directions, walk, run, jump, climb, kick a ball, and skip. I can open doors, containers, manipulate moving parts on toys, and put together puzzles. I love to draw circles and scribble with crayons and markers. I also enjoy finger painting and playing musical instruments. I love books some of my favorites include The Gruffalo, Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Sight, Curious George, and The Interrupting Chicken. My favorite television shows are Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. My favorite toys are trains, trucks, cars, ships, planes, robots, and balls. I like to play outdoors, take Eddie for a walk, and climb on the playground equipment.
Dr. Mankodi said that I'm doing terrific and am super smart. She had a bunch of assessments for me to complete to test my social and emotional abilities, language and communication skills, cognitive aptitude and physical development. I passed them all and even went above and beyond the norm for my age. I liked the tests and showing off for her, it was fun. Some changes that she told us about were 2% milk instead of whole milk, fluoride toothpaste, and the biggest news is that I get to keep my Nuk! She said that the pacifier is completely fine and especially how I use it only at nap and bedtime. Dr. Mankodi gave me another book, Bread and Jam for Frances. She's a great doctor but I'm kind of glad that I don't have to go back until I'm 3 years old! (No offense.)
Nice report Jake. So glad you are smiley at this appointment. Way to go Big Jake!
