I had such an awesome day!! Grandma and Grandpa Dale brought over lunch and Grandma 2, Uncle Ryan, and Kate came over to celebrate too. I even got presents - I am such a lucky boy, it's not even my real birthday yet! After lunch I took a nap while the adults played Yahtzee and then we went to Babies R Us. Grandma 2 bought me a nice new outfit, Mama & Papa bought me some pajamas and a lightweight stroller, and Grandma bought me this Cookie Monster stuffed animal. (She also spoiled me earlier with a few new outfits and a Bath Time Sophie the Giraffe.) Like I said, very lucky! But my favorite part of the day was after lunch before cake everyone went around the table and said what they enjoy best about six-month old Jake - Grandma 2 said that she loves the way I smile at her when she blows me kisses; Grandpa Dale said that he loves his little Vikings Fan; Grandma said that she loves my kissable cheeks; Uncle Ryan said that he loves how happy I make my parents (he said that they haven't stopped smiling since I was born!); Kate said that she loves being able to see a human being develop and grow; Papa said that he loves it at night when he dances with me before bedtime and I put my head on his shoulder and hold him tight; and Mama said that she loves all the adventures we have everyday. Everyone agreed that life is so much better with me here and that they are so very thankful for me!!!
Happy six months of being on the planet! Wow sounds like you had a terrific day. We can also say we are so elated that you are you.
ReplyDeleteThe time is just flying by, I can't believe that you are six months old. It was fun laughing and enjoying the day with you. I can't wait until you can enjoy the cake with us!
