Before I share my first words (yeah I did say words plural) let me set the scene: My parents always say they're going to get the car seat and then we're going to go bye-bye so Papa was holding me and Grandma was getting her coat on Mama had just announced that she was going to grab my car seat so I said, "Bye-Bye" and then the chaos ensued!!
We also have an honorable mention when it comes to first words, I have been saying dada and mama for awhile now (not with meaning but more just babbling) but two days ago my Mama was holding me and Papa was getting rid of the garbage and I said, "Dad" and was looking at my Papa. Mama heard me but Papa didn't and the moment passed so quickly that they weren't sure so we're calling that my honorable mention first word.
Wow, congratulations! You'll have to tell me all about it this weekend. ;-)
