Up!

My new favorite word is, "Up!" And I am starting to climb on everything and when I can't get on something by myself I like to go get an adult take them by the hand and say, "Up please... Up... Up... Up!" The please doesn't always make it in but hey, I'm a work in progress.

Farmer Jake

I got this very neat farm from Uncle Gary & Aunt Patti as an early Christmas present and I love it! It has a cow, horse, goat, pig, sheep and a farmer guy plus it even makes animal noises and plays "Old McDonald had a Farm" like I said pretty neat the only problem is that I want to get inside but I'm too big!

I had a wonderful Thanksgiving at Grandpa & NCB's house! As you can see I played with Grandpa, Nana, Aunt Briana & Kodi, we ate yummy food, I got a tent and a book called, "Santa is coming to Minnesota" and we even saw real turkeys when we were leaving. And guess what, by the end of the day I was saying, "Gobble Gobble!" I am thankful for my family - I love you guys!!

Indian Summer & A Very Busy Boy

The weather is fantastic this week (60 degrees!) so we took advantage of it and were outside as much as possible. I played in the backyard, we took Eddie for walks and even went out to the Nature Center. It was grrreat! Here is a few pictures of me getting the backyard ready for winter. I raked, swept, picked up walnuts and pine cones, and even made time to play with my ball.

Is One the New Two

I have gotten a tad picky and only want macaroni and cheese to eat, I have squirmy diaper changes, don't want to wear pants, yell when I can't have my way, and am a budding John Balushi at meal times so Mama has been wondering is one the new two!?!

Mama: Oh well along with all of these minor inconveniences there are lots of hugs, kisses, new words almost daily, and the best sound in the world - Jake belly laughing! Tonight when Mark & I were making supper Jake comes in the kitchen walks up to me and grabs my leg and hugs it and then walks over to Mark gives him a big leg hug too and then goes over to Eddie bends down and pets him and then finishes by blowing us all a kiss as he leaves the kitchen. It was pure joy... man I love this boy!!!

15-Month Dr. Appointment

I was a man with a plan at this doctor appointment... and my plan was to operate incognito so I wore my hood up to conceal my true identity. It only worked for a little while and then the nurse came in and told me to take off all my clothes and there was the flaw in my big plan. Next I got weighed (24 lbs - 45%) and measured (32 inches - 68%). Dr Mancodi was really impressed by how smart I am so I showed off a little pointing to all kinds of body parts, speaking a few words, walking, running and even attempting a jump in her office (all while wearing just a diaper). Then I knew the shots would be coming so ran over to the door and tried opening it but the handles are higher than at home so no luck. Then I went over to her computer tower and tried turning off the power maybe if the computer was off she wouldn't know which shots to give me and then she might just forget all about it. But again no luck, Mama saw what I was up to and intercepted my play. My last move was to result in brut force so when Nurse Ratched came in and tried to hold me down I wiggled and squirmed so hard that she had to call for backup. And then what can I say backup came, shots were given, crying ensued and I even had a little reaction to the shots so we had to stay for 30 minutes afterwards to make sure it was nothing serious. It wasn't so no worries. Mama had water and animal crackers for me and the doctor came back in and gave me a book, a cup and a stick so life got much better. After we got the all clear I got dressed and decided I wanted to "sit" in the doctor's chair - yeah just sit... actually what I was doing was logging on and deleting my medical files so that we won't ever have to go through that again. But keep that little tidbit to yourselves okay?!
